Telegram shows the subscriber or member count right under the name: in search, in a shared link preview, and at the top of the channel. For a new channel it is often the only thing a visitor has to go on before tapping Join.
Members raise that count. They do not read your posts, which is why post views are a service of their own.
Set up the channel or group first
- Public, with a username. In the channel or group info, set the type to Public and give it a username. That username is the t.me link.
- Approve new members off. A group that approves joins by hand leaves every new member waiting in the requests list.
- Same username. Changing it during the order breaks the link the order uses.

Will members leave later?
