A Threads profile is tied to an Instagram account and uses the same username, but Threads counts its followers separately. Following you on Instagram does not make someone a Threads follower, so a new Threads profile often starts near zero even when the Instagram account is large.
An order raises the Threads count only. Your Instagram follower count stays as it is.

- Public profile. In Threads, under Settings, Privacy, keep Private profile off while the order runs.
- Username stays put. Threads takes its username from Instagram, so renaming the Instagram account also changes the Threads link the order is using.
